Dynaisajia by queenofeagles Dynaisajia by queenofeagles
This is Dynaisajia, a character that belongs to :iconthe-fox-of-wonders: She is the spirit of time and freedom, and can transform herself into a fox or hawk, or something in between. Awesome eh? Here is her reference sheet:
Reference sheet - Dynaisajia by The-fox-of-wonders

I tried to draw the fox and the hawk at the same time, which was so much fun to do! I hope you like it The-fox-of-wonders! I changed the markings a bit, for the sake of symmetry, I hope you don't mind ;)

I never draw foxes, so that was kind of a challenge. Can someone tell me what the difference is between a fox and a wolf (from an artist's perspective of course)? Every time I try to draw a wolf's head, it ends up as a fox... and the other way around, hehe. I found that rather difficult for shots like this, where you only see part of the head and where the markings are unusual. Maybe it's just that I don't draw them often enough ;)

Oh man that "in between" you captured is incredible! I noticed both animals immediately but it took my brain a moment to go "whoa...whoa hold up" and really appreciate it.

Ah this is super cool. You've done an amazing job on making both faces look just as convincing and equally beautiful! A really great optical illusion!

Oh what a gorgeous picture! I love how you did her eyes, and the light! It looks positively magical!
Also, I immediately saw it was a fox, I didn't think it was a wolf for a split second. I suppose the smaller snout helps a lot with that :)

 thank you sooo much! and I am glad you recognized it as a fox :D that was so hard! It might have been easier for me if more of her head was visible, like the ears or something, but that screwed up the hawk's head -_-

I like this picture, she has an intense look there. For the difference between foxes and wolves, this here might help.

Very interesting idea to portray two forms at the same time. Surprisingly, the eyes fit to both of the animals :aww: Also, fantastic work with fur/feathers <3

Thanks! those eyes only look good with dilated pupils; that fox has a slit pupil. It is less obvious when the pupils are dilated, but it looks so weird otherwise; having one circular pupil and one vertical slit XD

That's so marvelous! She looks like she's made of stars; like some cosmic nebula in shape of wolf...fox...hawk... whatever it is! Absolutely stunning art, my dear! You can definitely be proud of yourself; you've made a beautiful picture. I suppose that it was very ambitious project and difficult drawing for you but be sure that you've made something great and really beautiful!

You're a wonderful friend, thank you so much! I like the way this turned out (which was a bit different than the original idea, with the eagle on the left and the fox on the right, and no 'mixing' of the two) and I am glad you like it as well
