Dinner Time by queenofeagles Dinner Time by queenofeagles
I finished this months ago, but never uploaded it -_- anyway, I used my pencils again! woohoo! the pic was too big for my scanner, so I made a photo of it. I hope it still looks fine.
This pic was drawn after a photo, which was on the cover of of a WWF magazine. I think it is quite a famous photo, because I came across it a couple of times now. I don't like drawing after examples due to lack of creativity, but this pic was so awesome, I had to do it ;)

Great pencilwork! Is there a medium you can't wield?

I only use that now to paint feathers, if I want to keep the feather soft... I don't like the stuff; EVERYTHING gets covered by it; desk, clothes doorhandles! everything! it just takes too long before it's dry.

Yeah I struggle with drying times - one of the advantages and disadvantages of oil paint.

hihi, true! it really can take ages; I guess that's why I prefer to draw digital, it's not that messy ;)

there's lots of tension in this and both animals are very well and realistically drawn :D (Big Grin)

That's awesome, my dear! This is a proof that you have talent not only in digital arts; classic arts are more difficult but you have made an amazing picture. It's beautiful!
